King Henry V Summary | Act 1, Prologue Summary

The chorus (only one character) enters the stage and calls upon the Muse of fire to inspire the play. The chorus explains that the stage cannot fully show the drama of the battlefields and the boldness of castles, but he begs the audience to use their imagination. He says that as the characters of the play describe scenes, the audience will see the scenes in their minds. He also apologizes for the actors because he knows that no actor is fully qualified to portray such an esteemed character at Henry V. He also says the plot of the play will travel between England and France so the audience will have to keep track of the scene.
